Nueces County Emergency Services District No. 2 (NCESD2) provides fire protection, emergency medical services, rescue operations, and public safety education to the communities of Flour Bluff, North Padre Island, Padre Island National Seashore, and surrounding areas of Nueces and Kleberg Counties.

The District serves approximately 80 square miles that include residential neighborhoods, commercial developments, industrial facilities, major transportation corridors, and more than 150 miles of coastal and waterfront environments.

NCESD2 responds to structure fires, brush and wildland fires, motor vehicle accidents, water and marine incidents, hazardous conditions, and medical emergencies while remaining committed to fire prevention, community risk reduction, and public safety education.
